Don McDougall (a.k.a. Crash), passed away peacefully at his home on the morning of April 24th, 2024 at the age of 77.
Don had spent the better part of his life in his hometown of Neepawa. After high school, Don spent some time attending university in Winnipeg and also working for Manitoba Hydro, but later returned home to begin his career as a car salesman and sales manager. He began working with his father, Angus, at McDougall’s Neepawa but later moved on to Murray’s dealership.
Don enjoyed curling in the winters and golfing in the summers. A favorite pastime in the summer was trying to beat Judy at Scrabble. He especially enjoyed the companionship of his many dogs, which is why the family is requesting donations in his honour be made to the Brandon Humane Society or CNIB’s Guide Dog program.
Don was predeceased by his parents, Angus and Agnes McDougall. He is survived by his wife Judy, her son Tim and his daughter Madeline; as well as his sister Cathy (Ken) Yurick and her children, Jen, Lindsay and Scott, and their families.
A gathering to celebrate Don’s life will be held at the Neepawa Legion Club Room on Thursday, May 23rd, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. .
